Meet Caleb Spencer
College at TNU brought Caleb to Nashville where, after 4 years, he graduated with a BBA in Marketing and a minor in IT. During his schooling, his sister roped him in to volunteer with the Nashville Film Festival’s (NashFilm) transportation dept during it’s annual week-long festival. There he fell in love with events and the community they cultivate. After many years, it came time to move on, and he joined the FW Publishing events dept, where his small-but-mighty team planned +20 different events for it’s four publications, including outdoor movie nights, crafts fairs, issue release networking mixers, and more.
His Big Idea
During his time at FW, his collective experiences with sponsors catalyzed as an idea. He noticed which brands sponsored year after year, which ones didn’t, and more importantly, why. This led him to talk with other marketing and events industry veterans to hone in his idea to help brands sponsor events well.
2020 saw Caleb’s final event for FW before COVID-19 shelved the industry. He took up a job at Sinkers Beverages liquor store, starting in the warehouse and finishing as the General Manager in 2023. After concluding his time there, he was ready to bring his idea to life by launching Brand Activator in June, 2023!
